This web site reponding very slowly

Has anything changed over the past few days on this web site?

I'm seeing "downloading from d.adroll.com" messages for about 30 seconds before each page loads and sometimes a database error "dbo...... [1203]". I'm not seeing it on any other sites.

Re: Forms not going to our e-mail address

Things don't 'just stop working' and you give no clues about what version you are using or the page URL. If it wasn't your web site it must be your hosting company. For example, did they upgrade the version of PHP on your server? If that is what happened, check the version you specified in the form ...

Re: Error message on the top of page

Warning: include_once(analyticstracking.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/98/28/1042898/web/OnlineTenantApplicationForm.php on line 4442

Is the file referred to actually there?

Re: page borders

'Center in page' is for the object, there is a different setting for 'center in browser'. Are you confusing the two?

Re: Protect single page

Looking at the page source of 'singlepagelock.php', the size and padding values look highly suspicious!

Re: How to install WWB (Windows) under Wine

https: //www .codeweavers. com/ crossover (take the spaces out!) Codeweavers are one of the driving forces behind the Wine project. Their product 'Crossover' has versions for MacOS, Linux and Chromebooks that allow Windows programs to run at full speed without needing any 'real' windows installed at...

Re: How to install WWB (Windows) under Wine

I had good results using Crossover under Linux.
I confess I haven't tried it with the last few Qnewb releases.

Re: excatech.org

Looks good - only one visible issue, the word 'attachment' is displaced to the right so it overlaps the entry field on my browser.

Using Firefox 82.0.3 with KDE in linux.

Re: captcha question question!

Thanks Pablo. Looking into the PHP on the server I can see the questions and answer arrays are stored within the code itself. Looking at the code for each page side-by-side they were identical except for the questions, answers and the success/error page links. Why it didn't work is a complete myster...

captcha question question!

I accept that extensions are not part of the program but if anyone can help it would be appreciated. The problem I have is one of my web sites is bilingual, in English and Welsh with each page having a link to switch between them . Unfortunately the contact forms have been hit by robots and lots of ...

Re: New member - asking for opinion

Perhaps the method is different under Gnome. I don't think Pablo allows images to be uploaded here so I placed one on one of my web sites at this URL: http://awaken.co.uk/Screenshot.png This is just an example, using PNG files but you can do the same with QWB. The file command is just so you can see...

Re: Installation not found on storage device

By "trial version" if you mean a live session rather than a full install, don't forget it loads the whole Linux and application into RAM. It doesn't write anything to hard disk unless you specifically tell it to do so. That means the installation will be lost as soon as it is closed or the...

Re: New member - asking for opinion

We are talking Linux here - anything is possible :D Just follow the step-by-step instructions here: https://itsfoss.com/install-kde-on-ubuntu/ Linux uses a different method of associating files with applications, it looks inside the file to determine its type rather than using the name extension but...

Re: New member - asking for opinion

I agree, the single page view isn't as user friendly as the tabbed view but you can still copy and paste by opening the source window to copy then opening the destination window for pasting. There are fewer extensions in QNE but I find there are sufficient to make good pages. You can convert some ex...

Re: New member - asking for opinion

Welcome here - I spotted your messages on the WWB forum! I switched a long time ago and ditched Windows for good. I have 7 systems here running Linux, all dedicated to specific tasks. My recommendation would be to install the Kubuntu version rather than plain Ubuntu. Functionally they are pretty muc...
