Preview okay - online not

Post by theheerenhouse » Fri May 19, 2017 11:23 pm

I have designed a very simple website, but struggle with two problems that I do not understand.

www.pavonea.nl

1)
I have used two identical shapes in the home page. In the preview it looks good. Online the second one displays the color incorrect.

2)
The display of this website on my laptop is good. However, when I try to open this website with my Amazon Kindle it takes a very long time and is only a small window that I need to enlarge manually.
Size:
automatic page size: false
height: 1000
width: 960
use 100% width: false

Any suggestion to solve this will be highly appreciated.

1. Did you publish all files? Maybe the shape has different settings?
2. There is a line (Line4) outside the viewport which affects the page width.

Also it looks like your website is not optimize for different devices, so to may not look correct on smaller screens.

Pablo, thank you very much for your reply.

No idea how you found out about that line 4, but yes it was there and I have now deleted it. Display on Kindle is now good.

I deleted the problematic shape and copy paste it to be sure all is the same.
I did a new complete publish and uploaded the website but still the same problem with the shape.

These are the two shapes according to QandE

<img src="images/img0071.png" id="Shape2" alt="" title="" style="border-width:0;width:779px;height:270px">

<img src="images/img0005.png" id="Shape9" alt="" title="" style="border-width:0;width:779px;height:270px">

However if I check the webpage img0071 has now a size of 250 x 45, so here we seem to have the problem.

I cannot figure out why the size has been changed, while the preview is okay.

Also: how do I optimize my website for other devices? QandE sets the Jquery automatically to the 1.12.3 version. No idea what this is and if this is the correct version.

gracias y saludos!

There must be a difference in the settings of the shapes. Unfortunately I cannot see what you have done based on the HTML code only.
This is not related to the jQuery version.

I have deleted the shape and inserted a fresh one. No difference.
Only thing that I have noticed is when I click in the online version 'inspect' image I get the following text:

779 × 270 pixels (Natural: 250 × 45 pixels)

With the other frame natural is the same size.
779 × 270 pixels (Natural: 779 × 514 pixels)

Nowhere can I find where a setting 'natural' can be found, but this is the problem.
Preview in the Q&E is good; only the online version has this problem.

Maybe there is a conflict with image names?
For example you have multiple images with the same name?
Or the image on the server is read-only so it cannot be overwritten?
