Publishing in Folders

Hi Pablo:
I just switched Ubuntu 16.04 to 18.04 and unfortunately I did not keep the FTP settings.
Now I am trying to update some pages and it is not possible to publish to the right folders.
As I can't upload screenshots here, I try to explain:
When I use PUBLISH - EXPLORE- CONNECT I can see the server space but there is a "folder public_html" visible. I want to upload into THAT specific folder.
Then I follow exactly the steps on page 201 of the help document and enter public_html to the REMOTE section of the FTP settings. This does not work help:
If I enter /public_html, public_html/, public_html or /public_html/ does not change anything. Even if I navigate to the right folder and then use the function MAKE HOME, next time I will land on the same position, seeing the folder public_html showing up but never I will enter into it!
What can I do?

regards
Michael

public_html normally should work.
Are there any errors in the publish log?
Or maybe you host has switched to SFTP?

Hi Pablo:
I found (my?) error:
The adjustment of the REMOTE home folder is considered ONLY when publishing.
It is NOT shown when using PUBLISH - EXPLORE - CONNECT, the folder shown here is always the same even when publishing sends the files to another one.
Maybe I did not find this information in the help.

Regards
Michael

The adjustment of the REMOTE home folder is considered ONLY when publishing.
Correct!
