"What is new in Quick 'n Easy Web Builder 6?
Secure FTP Support
Adds the ability to publish web sites using Secure FTP and FTPS.
The following protocols are supported:
• FTP with TLS/SSL (Port 990 - Implicit)
• FTP with TLS/SSL (AUTH TLS - Explicit)
• SFTP using SSH2 (Secure Shell)"
I have tried using FTP with TLS/SSL (AUTH TLS - Explicit) to upload a simple test page that includes an image and I get the same strange results publishing to two different servers:
1. The image on my page does not get uploaded.
2. An "images" folder is created in the destination directory (/public_html/qne); this folder contains another folder named "images" that contains the html files and whatever backup I asked for.
3. Another set of nested folders are created in the destination directory (/public_html/qne):
public_html[images{images}] with no content in the lowest level folder
I have no problem publishing from WYSIWYG WB12 using exactly the same FTP with TLS/SSL (AUTH TLS - Explicit) settings.
Publishing with a standard (not secure) FTP connection works fine, as does publishing to a local file.
Has anyone else seen this problem?

Re: Secure FTP in version 6.1
I have not send or heard about this issue before.
However, every server is different.
The only way I can help you with this is if you send me your login details and exact settings of your project, so I can investigate this.
This may take some time because the Secure-ftp is third party functionality licensed from another company.

Re: Secure FTP in version 6.1
Thanks Pablo, I will set up an area on one of my hosting accounts where you can investigate when you have the time. I will send the details by direct email.
Thank you,
Jerry

Re: Secure FTP in version 6.1
Hi Jerry:
What is the name of the root directory you set in the publishing settings?
Very strange. I am using both frequently... same FTP like you and for another server SFTP.
For some servers one has to fiddle around with the root server, but once you find the right path, everything is working fine.
Did you use QnEWB before V.6 and everything working?
Did you upload to the same server before?
regards
Michael

Re: Secure FTP in version 6.1
Hi Michael,
Thank you for your comments and question.
I was using the root directory of my hosting account designated by /
All web site files are in /public_html
My target folder was at /public_html/qne
I had no problem with using explicit auth-tls connections from FileZilla and from WYSIWYG Web Builder, but Quick 'n Easy gave me problems by creating new folders that has not been asked for and placing the published files in strange places
I am just starting to use Quick 'n Easy, but have been using WYSIWYG Web Builder for several years. I like the cleaner interface in QnE and am switching over to it because of the multi-platform compatibility.
I am sending Pablo more details so that he can investigate further when he has an opportunity.
Thanks,
Jerry

Re: Secure FTP in version 6.1
Jerry, thanks for sending the FTP information, I will investigate if I can duplicate the problem.
Re: Secure FTP in version 6.1
Thanks again for creating the test account!
I have made some FTPS improvements in the latest update (6.1.1)
Can you please try if this also works for you?

Re: Secure FTP in version 6.1
Version 6.1.1 fixes the problem. FTPS now works for me!
Thanks Pablo for the very quick update.
