SSL Cert and https: problems

Post by AlanD »

Two years ago I had Network Solutions add an SSL Certificate to my site: Over50Vegas.com

I did not renew the SSL Certificate because there is no reason I could see for a “secure” site since my site does not use e-commerce or ask for visitor's personal information.
Now visitors either are blocked because of “Invalid Certificate” or the site loads with the big red “Not Secure” note in the address bar.
I spoke with the support folks at Network Solutions and was told that I needed to change something in my settings in Quick 'n Easy that sets my site back to http instead of https.

My question is whether this is true or if I am going to just be stuck with paying for an SSL Certificate.

I have been using Quick 'n Easy for years through multiple new versions and am completely satisfied with it.
I realize the problem is on the host's end but need some help figuring this out.

This is not related to Quick 'n Easy Web Builder. https is configured in the server.

From the software's perspective there is nothing you will need to change. The HTML is not different for http or https.
