Hidden field

Post by mexman » Tue Apr 25, 2017 11:22 pm

Hi Pablo:
I can find several references to hidden fields in the HELP file, but I have some problems to find an option to define an Editbox = hidden?
Can that be done? If so, HOW?
Regards
Michael

'Hidden fields' is a property of the Form object.

Thanks for the hint.
Now I have a problem:
I can read in the HELP:
"Although you cannot drag a form to a layout grid, the grid itself can be a form!"
I want to use a hidden field in a form.
I want to use a form in a layout grid
Is that possible?
I was trying to do that, but I can't manage to have a hidden field in a form in a layout grid!
Regards
Michael

Pablo: Another question about a Hidden Field:
I wanted to do a Form Validation: Match the contents of an EditBox to the contents of the Hidden Field.
That is not possible! Is there no way or is this a bug?

Is that possible?
Yes. Simply set the 'Enable form' property of the layout grid to 'Yes'
Then you can also add hidden fields.

This is not a bug. You can only match two editboxes. A hidden field in not an object/editbox, it is a special property of the form.
