Problems when coping content

Post by DConev » Tue Nov 22, 2016 11:45 pm

I'm receiving this crash report, when i'm coping content from one page to another on same project:
C:\wxWidgets-2.9.5\src\msw\dcmemory.cpp(117):assert”!bitmap.GetSelectedInto()II(bitmap.GetSelectedInto()==GetOwner())failed:Bitmap is selected in another wxMemoryDC, delete the first wxMemoryDC or use SelectObject(NULL)
This happens only on same type of pages which contains rollover images and links to other internal pages, the program also breaks down or freezing when i clone this pages.

Any help what cause this error?

Are you using the latest version of the software?
What are the exact steps to reproduce this problem?

Yes i recently updated the software to version 4, but i was also having the same problem in version 3. On the beginning i was coping and cloning these pages without a problem, but how i was adding more and more from this pages the program started to crush, now i can't copy or clone even one of these pages.
I upload one of that pages that cause this problem when coping them:

Maybe you have too much content so you computer is running out of memory?
Or maybe your have not optimized your images before adding them to the project so they use a lot of memory?

I do notice that all your filenames are invalid. They are not websafe because there are space in the file names.
See this related FAQ:
http://www.quickandeasywebbuilder.com/f ... f=10&t=131

Do you have the same problem in a new project?
If you can copy/paste in a new project then the issue is most likely related to the size of the content.

I tried in new project, i'm coping them with no problem, i have compressed every picture before i use them so they have very small size, but it looks like they still use a lot of memory, because on the beginning i didn't have problems with coping.
Do you mean on the wrong filenames of the pictures, or you mean on the names of the pages?
If it's the memory, instead to save the images in my computer, will be ok to use link with the online location on the images like this link http://img.youtube.com/vi/C3lWwBslWqg/0.jpg

Yes, see this related FAQ:

I do not know if that will make any difference because the images still need to be loaded to be able to display them.

Maybe you can share your project so I can see what you have done?

When i use the online source link the images are loaded only when the site is publish online or in preview mode, anyway it says "image not found or invalid", so if they are not in the computer they will not use any memory, so i think that then i will have no problems in coping that pages.

Hi, I found that the text is causing the problem, when i remove the text i'm cloning or coping the pages in unlimited number without problem, it's like the program can't handle with multiple text forms in one page, because with the other type of pages with one or two text forms i have no problems.

Can you please share your project so I can see what you have done?
And how exactly can I reproduce this behavior?

Can you please describe the exact steps to reproduce this behavior?
Did you also try with version 5? This version has many improvements so maybe it has already been solved?

I tried with version 5, it's not solved.
If you downloaded my project, try to clone the index page few times to see the problem, the program will freeze and crash.

I have tested your project with version 5.1.2 and it seems to work correct now.

It will be difficult to implement this functionality in version 4. Because version 5 has many improvements in the 'core' that make it more stable and easier to control this type of behavior.
But I will do my best to see if this is possible, although it may take a few weeks of work.
