PayPal button issues
Hi,
I have been using the PayPal button on my web site for quite a while, but suddenly, for no apparent reasons, some of the PayPal buttons, when clicked on, instead of sending the buyer to their PayPal page for purchasing, it actually opens up a new e-mail window showing the following:
business=example@gmail.com
cmd=_xclick
item_name=1:1IsolXfmr
item_number=1:1IsolXfmr
amount=15.00
currency_code=USD
shipping=
shipping2=
handling=
return=
cancel_return=
undefined_quantity=0
receiver_email=example@gmail.com
no_shipping=0
no_note=1
submit.x=83
submit.y=25
As far as I can see, all the PayPal buttons, apart from the item description and price, have identical setups.
No matter how often I delete the PayPal button in question and place a new PayPal button on the page, I cannot get it to go to the PayPal page.
The web page in question is here, it is the PayPal button right at the bottom of the page, http://www.erhard-audio.com/AutoBias.html

Re: PayPal button issues
It looks like you have placed the PayPal button inside another form?
A PayPal button should not be inside a form because the button itself is already a form.
HTML does not support nested forms.
Note: if you are asking for help then please disable all HTML formatting/beautify options otherwise I cannot see the code.

OK,
I will check that.
As to HTML formatting/beautify mode...I have no clue what that is so as far as I know I did not enable it unless it is so by default?

Re: PayPal button issues
OK,
it looks like I have used the wrong kind of 'form' to create a centered text & photo area.
If you have a look at the web site, you will notice that most pages have two colors. The main 'overall' background color then a smaller width second background/box where all the text etc is located.
I used a 'form' to create that second background/box, which is obviously the issue here.
So how do I create this second background/box area with a different color to place all the text etc in it.
I have been looking and trying different things bit so far have not been able to figure out how to create the text area with a different color and smaller width, thanks.

Re: PayPal button issues
Instead of a form you can use layer or shape to create a background section.
I think you should try a shape first.

OK,
I figured that out late last night, but I cannot seem to center it in the page.
I direct it to get centered, but in preview and after I uploaded a test page it is left margin. No matter what I try I cannot center the shape on the page.

Re: PayPal button issues
Maybe you did not center it relative to the page width?
it should work the same as a form/layer.
Note that I cannot see what you have done based on the HTML code only.
To be able to help you I need a copy of the (stripped) project file.

Re: PayPal button issues
I used the Arrange menu then Center In Page, I tried, both, vertical or horizontal. It worked when I use forms, but does not do it when I use layer or shape.
In the wysiwyg window it looks centered, but when I preview it and upload it it is left margin.
I strictly use menu functions as provided by the program, I never try and override or use my own HTML code.

Re: PayPal button issues
I just sent you an e-mail message giving you a link where a stripped down version of my work file can be downloaded from
Re: PayPal button issues
Thanks for sharing the file.
The 'Center in browser' property is set to 'false', this should be 'true'
