Google font variants
Hi, I have installed a Google font with several variants with the Google Font Manager. But when I edit text, I can only select 1 variant (probably regular) in the listbox. How can I use the other variants?
Re: Google font variants
Which exact font are you using?
Which OS are you using?

Re: Google font variants
I'm using Mac OS and the font is Nunito.
Re: Google font variants
I'm sorry, it looks like the system will only display the family name, not the variations.
This may be a limitation of the programming framework. I will investigate this.

Re: Google font variants
Ok, when you ready, can you let me know if this can be fixed?
Re: Google font variants
I'm not sure if it can be 'fixed' but I will investigate if font variants can be added somehow.

Re: Google font variants
I was wondering if there is already something clear on the Fonts variations issue?
I bought qnewb6, but mainly it pretty useless as I use often font variations... So I guess back to 5 it is.

Re: Google font variants
Fonts do not work different in version 6 than in version 5.
So, if it worked in version 5 then it will work the same in version 6.

Re: Google font variants
Uhm, that's not true, because for instance: When I look in the list of fonts in version 5, it shows roboto and work sans including light, semi-bold, if I look in the list under 6, it just show roboto in general as well as work sans, where can I adjust to light or semi-bold?
Re: Google font variants
Maybe you have used different settings?
For example, maybe in the previous version you disabled the option 'display web-safe font only'?
If you uncheck this option then all variants will be listed, independently of the Google Fonts configuration.

Re: Google font variants
For me this issue was solved by not only installing the Google font variant in Web builder, but also in MacOS.

Re: Google font variants
Hi Ton, but I have them installed, that is why they show up in version 5. I got show all web-safe fonts switched off, its shows the complete list, but not the variations of the fonts. In 5 its shows all variations?
Re: Google font variants
Are you sure you have the same settings as in version 5?
Which operation system do you use?

Re: Google font variants
I’ve checked if there was anything I could change, but there not much font options. I use latest OS X. Could it be that one I have downloaded from your website and other is from the App Store?
Re: Google font variants
I have investigated this behavior and it looks like this is related to changes in the programming libraries of the mac.
Unlike previous versions, version 6 uses the latest development tools and on the Mac this no longer lists font variants because it's basically the same font just another weight.
This means that I have to redesign this part of the software for the Mac and figure out which variants are available. This may take a few weeks of work because this not something I have directly control over.
I will do my best to find a solution as quickly as possible.
