Animated Slideshow

My first attempt in using this extension

1) Can it handle a mix of portrait / landscape images and various image sizes and show them all like in my example here : https://ourvilla.net.au/artpage.php
2) It is not clear, when going into the setup what are the items:
Heading, Main image, Paragraph, etc... What is URL page selection?

Is Heading a description / item title, so what is Paragraph?

Is there any documentation about this documentation?

Thanks

For most slideshows the images aspect ratio must be the same.

Which 'Animated Slideshow' are you referring to?

The extension provided by Baconfries, is there another one?
What else can I try?

Thanks again

Did you try the built-in slideshow?
Or else the Carousel?

Let me provide some more details:

1) The slide show is intended to present painting of retired painters in our village
2) Many of their works are painted in Portrait, there is nothing I can do about it
3) So, I have a mix of Landscape and Portrait images - which are of course of different sizes

If I use a slide show object - on the Portrait pictures, it streched the view vertically...

The following two pages are both using Conveyerbelt:

1) https://ourvilla.net.au/page8.php - this one works OK on my Android tablet - it moves, but - it chops the bottom part of the portrait images
2) https://ourvilla.net.au/artpage.php - this one DOES NOT move the slide show on Android - but it shows the entire portrait images

So, in order to have both - showing the full images, AND moving on Android - what can I use?

Thanks again for your time

There may be too many images so it take too much processing for the Android device.
Or maybe the images are to large? They are much larger then they need to be for the size of the ConveyorBelt.

Look in the two url's I provided

1) They have both the same 16 images
2) One is moving, the other one is NOT.
3) The one that is moving - page8.php indeed moves, but chops the bottom half of the images in portrait
4) Both pages use the same WB object, just different settings as you can no doubt see from the page source

So, what else can I check?

Thanks

The slideshow was not designed for images with different aspect ratios, that would make the script a lot more complication.
At the moment I do not have a standard solution for this. Most (if not all) slideshow scripts only support one size, because it is very difficult to implement transitions between images that have not the same size.

The differences between the two pages are the number of images and the filenames.

I am trying to use the Carousel object

Can't see an option to insert a title for each image

Is there such an option?

Thanks

On the carousel you can insert any standard element. Just drag it into the carousel area.

This works very nice, I wonder - why did I waste so much time on the other options

Thanks

One more question - is there a way to have the controls, but NO automatic sliding between images - just let the visitor move

Is there? Can't see how
