Quick 'n Easy Web Builder 12.2 update
Posted: Tue Oct 07, 2025 6:59 am
This is a major update for Quick 'n Easy Web Builder 12. This version adds new features and includes other improvements.
What's new?
- New feature: Added support for Gemini AI as alternative for OpenAI. Gemini AI supports the same text options (write text, translate, AI vision etc), but also image generation including the latest Nano Banana model (gemini-2.5-flash-image-preview). You can configure Gemini in Preferences -> Artificial Intelligence for both text and image generation.
This is currently one of the most advanced and talked-about image generation models available.

- New feature: Added support for Flux Kontext in ComfyUI. FLUX Kontext can be used to generate and edit images using prompts only. It combines text prompts and image inputs to allow users to make detailed and context-aware edits.
Requires ComfyUI and flux1-dev-kontext_fp8_scaled.safetensors (https://huggingface.co/Comfy-Org/flux1- ... afetensors)
Note: if you do not see 'Flux Kontext ' in the models list, then go to Documents/Quick 'n Easy Web Builder and rename the folder 'comfyui' to 'comfyui-old'

- New feature: Added a 'direction' property to the Image Conveyer Belt, enabling left or right scrolling.

- Improved: Image Conveyer Belt now uses requestAnimationFrame for smoother scrolling, plus other refinements for better cross-browser reliability.
- Improved: Absolute positioning of Wizard objects when the modal is disabled.
- Improved: Simplified table upgrade code in CMS Admin.
- Improved: Added transitions CSS to SlideShow / ThumbnailGallery.
- Improved: When Stability AI is not the selected image provider, the options 'Create a new image with the same style', 'Erase' ,'Search and Recolor', 'Search and Replace', 'Sketch to Image' now show the generic edit / variation AI window.
With the latest image models of OpenAI, Gemini or Flux Kontext you can do same operations just by using a text prompt. For example 'Erase object' or 'Change the color of ...' etc.
- Improved: By default, User-defined meta tags are inserted at the beginning of the <head> section, before all other meta tags. You can now also choose to place them after the existing meta tags by prefixing the code with *. This may also be useful if you want certain scripts (e.g., JavaScript) or styles to execute immediately at the start of the page.
- Improved: HTML formatting in combination with inline scripts <SCRIPT> ands <STYLE>
- Tip: If you enable "Generate external CSS style sheets for page-specific styles" or "Generate external JS file for page-specific scripts," any custom styles and scripts will also be moved into external files. If you prefer to keep a style or script directly inside the page, use uppercase tags (<SCRIPT> or <STYLE>). Code inside these tags will remain inline and will not be moved. In the final output, the software will automatically convert all tags to lowercase for consistency.
- Fixed: Ferris Wheel does not support internal links.
- Fixed: Unsupported 'datetime' type in editbox, now outputs 'datetime-local'.
- Fixed: Select correct brush type in Sketch to Image
- macOS only: Improved user interface elements to enhance compatibility and performance on macOS.
